AYODHYA: Even though BJP won the mayoral election in Ayodhya convincingly, its victory failed to boost the party's student wing ABVP which lost the students union elections of Saket Degree College in the temple town.
The candidates of Bahujan Chhatra Dal supported by Bahujan Samaj Party captured the posts of president and vice-president.
Rajesh Kumar of Bahujan Chatra Dal defeated Neha Kumari of SP's student wing Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha for the post of president while Manoj Kumar of Bahujan Chhatra Dal defeated Sanjay Yadav of Samajwadi Party's student wing for the post of vice president.
