LUCKNOW: The man who allegedly shot dead the development manager of an insurance firm in Aliganj was arrested on Wednesday evening. The accused, Giridhar Gopal Dikshit, was nabbed when he came to meet an aide near Gole market crossing in Mahanagar.
Police recovered the licensed revolver from which Dikshit had fired shots at Ajay Saraswat. Three bullet shells of the revolver were also recovered.

Dikshit told police he had a money related dispute with Saraswat and denied that he was stalking a female colleague of the deceased.
Earlier employees of the insurance firm had met the circle officer and station officer of Aliganj and demanded the arrest of the accused.
Dikshit had allegedly shot dead Saraswat outside latter's office after a scuffle between them. In the melee Dikshit also sustained gunshot injury below the right ear and suffered from excessive blood loss.
"Dikshit had paid Rs 12,000 for his policy and wanted the money back. The female sales agent who issued the policy told him it was not possible. From phone records it is clear that Dikshit used to call the girl frequently and was at loggerheads with Saraswat over it. Moreover Dikshit also claimed that deceased and he had a dispute over an amount of Rs 20,000 that exchanged hands between the two," said circle officer, Aliganj, Akhilesh Singh.
Preliminary probe suggested that Saraswat wanted to protect his colleague from Dikshit and had warned him to stay away from her.
