New BTech, MTech courses at KMCLU

Lucknow: Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU) has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to introduce one BTech and four MTech courses from the 2026–27 academic session.

The university will offer BTech in Automation and Robotics, and MTech programmes in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Structural Engineering, and Biotechnology Engineering. Around 30 seats will be offered in every course.

Vice-Chancellor Ajay Taneja said the approval would provide students quality technical education and better employment prospects. He said the new courses would give students access to advanced technical education and create stronger opportunities in research, innovation and industry.

He said The AICTE approval to the engineering programmes signifies major shift for KMCLU, transforming it into a multidisciplinary hub that aligns with modern industry demands in UP’s capital and opens new avenues for specialised, job-oriented technical education.

According to university officials, advanced courses like B Tech in Automation and Robotics will equip students with highly sought-after, multidisciplinary skills—blending mechanical, electrical and computer science. It will prepare students for future-proof careers in rapidly expanding industries like manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and healthcare by providing hands-on expertise required to design, programme and maintain intelligent, automated systems.

Similarly MTech in Mechatronics, equips one to design, build, and operate intelligent machines like robots, autonomous vehicles and automated production lines, while MTech in biotechnology will help students take on roles as of bioprocess engineer, research scientist, clinical research associate, or quality control analyst in pharma and biotech firms.
