LUDHIANA: The much-awaited Sunday finally arrived for Lodhi Club members, who enjoyed a rain dance party here as part of their summer camp.
The day began with kids playing games like spoon and lemon race, frog race and hide and seek. Prachi Gupta of Sukhmani Enclave said although it looked easy, it was difficult to balance the lemon on a spoon and run.

''I got a lot of chocolates for the games and it was great time with friends,'' she said. Ankush Dang, a resident of Atam Park, said he enjoyed frog race. ''On other days my parents scold me if I run around in the street or park but here in the summer camp even they encouraged me to participate in the race,'' he said.
But the rain party was the highlight of the day with particularly women and girls taking over the dance floor. Rachna Batra, a resident of Rishi Nagar, said, ''The rain dance became an all women's show with girls and women dancing to their heart's content.'' For Ruchika Grover of Shamsher Avenue the rain dance was a fitting way of getting into the mood for monsoon, while Monika Gupta of Sarabha Nagar was left wishing that every summer weekend would be as refreshing.
