Man assaulted, shot with air gun over tattoo in Karnataka's Senapura
UDUPI: A tattoo artist was allegedly assaulted and shot with an air gun after a dispute over a tattoo in Karnataka's Senapura village, Kundapur taluk.The complainant, 30-year-old Vivek U from Manipal, he had partially completed a tattoo on January 29 for an acquaintance, Sagar. The next day, he went to Sagar’s rented house to finish the work.

According to Vivek, on January 31 around 6.00 am, Sagar woke him by splashing water on his face and started a fight, claiming the tattoo was poorly done and verbally abusing him. Sagar’s friends, Sumanth and Aditya, then tied Vivek with a rope and physically assaulted him. Later, around 3.15 pm, Vivek cried out in pain. Sagar allegedly brought an air gun and fired a shot at his chest. The injured tattoo artist was admitted to a hospital in Manipal.Gangolli Police Station has registered a case against Sagar and his associates under Sections 352, 127(2), 115(2), 109 read with 3(5) of the BNS, and Sections 3 and 25 of the Indian Arms Act.
