Police nab chain snatchers

MANGALORE: Mangalore city police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with a chain snatching incident reported from Mulki police station limits on May 17. The accused are Mohammad Shafi, 38, resident of Krishnapura 8 ^thblock, and Muhammad Faizal, 23, resident of Ullal, in Mangalore taluk. The accused had allegedly snatched a gold chain with an Om pendent weighing 28-grams from the neck of Kusuma, resident of Kerekadu-Kenchanakere in Kilpady village.Police recovered the chain sold by the accused at a shop in Mangalore. The accused have been remanded into judicial custody.
