Yenepoya Dental College bags dental academic excellence awards

MANGALURU: Department of Orthodontics, Prosthodontics and Oral Pathology, Yenepoya Dental College, Mangaluru has been awarded the best departments of the year 2014 for their outstanding contributions in clinical work, research and scientific publications by the Guident at the Dental Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony in New Delhi on Friday.
Dr Akhter Husain, head of the department of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics, Yenepoya Dental College, Mangaluru has been recognized as the best proactive (senior) academician for the year 2014-2015 for his outstanding contributions in clinical work, research and scientific publications on the same occasion.
Dr R K Bali, former president, Dental Council of India was the chief jury. Dr Mahesh Verma, former vice-president of Dental Council of India, Dr Shridhar Shetty, former president, DCI, Dr Mahesh Lahori, editor, Guident, Dr Ajay Sharma, secretary of AOI Conference, were also present during the awards ceremony.
