Oshiwara police registers FIR against ‘model’ for assaulting female cops

MUMBAI: Oshiwara police registered an FIR against a ‘model’ for allegedly creating a ruckus and assaulting female cops after entering the cabin of a senior inspector of Amboli police station on December 8. Malik (40) allegedly got annoyed as police did not act on her written complaint. Malik assaulted the cops in front of the senior inspector, when he called them to take her out of the cabin.No arrest has been made.
Malik visited the police station around 2.30pm on December 7. She got furious when cops did not attend to her to repeated pleas. “Mallick entered the senior inspector’s cabin and asked about her case update. She abused the senior inspector and said they were present to protect the accused and were bribed. She assaulted the five women when they were called in to take her out,” said a police officer of Oshiwara police station.
Amboli police senior inspector Bharat Gaikwad said Malik submitted applications on civil disputes. “A case has been registered with Oshiwara police against Malik,” he said. She has been charged with assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty and insult.
