Mumbai rains: Air India passengers of Mumbai-Ahmedabad flight stranded for three hours

Mumbai was Tuesday paralysed by the incessant rain, which left several areas of the financial capital waterlogged and claimed many lives in a wall collapse in a northern suburb. Heavy rains lashing the city since Sunday have thrown rail, air and road traffic out of gear, with several trains and flights being cancelled. Stay tuned to TOI for all the latest updates.

92.6mm rainfall recorded in the 24 hour period ending at 8.30am by the IMD Colaba observatory. Palghar receives extremely heavy rains of 340 mm in the same period (June 20 - July 1) while Dahanu recorded 298.6mm of rainfall. The IMD observatory in the Thane Belapur Industrial area (TBIA) recorded 111mm of rains.
