MUMBAI:
Sharad Pawar, president of the
Nationalist Congress Party (SP) and a Rajya Sabha MP, has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai for a routine health check-up, sources said on Tuesday, according to news agency PTI..
The 85-year-old leader was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital two days ago, they added.
"He is in the hospital for a check-up and follow-up. There is nothing serious," a source informed.
Pawar had recently taken oath as a Rajya Sabha member while seated in a wheelchair and also addressed the media in Delhi.
Earlier in February, the former Maharashtra chief minister was hospitalised twice in Pune due to a chest infection and dehydration.
