Thane: A 17-year-old boy suffered injuries after being attacked by a swarm of bees while attempting to climb and pluck fruits from a jamun tree in Wagle Estate on Wednesday evening.The incident was reported around 4:30 pm in the ITI Colony area on Road No. 27, Wagle Estate, where the teenager climbed the tree but panicked after being attacked by the bees and, in his haste to avoid the attack, lost his foothold and slipped off and got stuck between the branches. His cries for help attracted bystanders, who alerted the rescue officials, who rushed to the spot and safely brought him down, informed Yasin Tadvi, in-charge at the Thane Regional Disaster Management Cell.Officials said the teenager suffered injuries due to the bee stings and was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
