MYSORE: Chaturmasa Kalasha Sthapana Mahotsava, a fest organized by city's various Digambar Jain associations as part of Antharmana Chaturmasa celebrations was held in the city on Tuesday.
Dharmasthala dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade and his wife Hemavathi Heggade inaugurated the event that was vibrantly conducted at the M L Jain Boarding Home on Chandraguptha Road.
On their arrival at the venue, Heggade and his wife were received with Poornakumbha and Mangala Vadya.
The couple, along with Sri Kshetra Kanakagiri Mutt seer Sri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Swami were felicitated on the occasion. While the organizers donated Karma Kalasha to Veerendra Heggade, Gomata Kalasha was donated to Sri Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Swami.
The event witnessed participation of over a thousand Jain devotees, according to a press release.
