Bhagwat to launch 6 books on Bhonsales’ legacy on Oct 10
Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat will preside over the grand release of six books chronicling the rich history, valor, and cultural legacy of the Bhonsales. The event organised by the Maharaja of Nagpur Trust will take place at the Senior Bhonsla Palace on Friday, October 10, at 6.30 pm.The ceremony will witness the release of four historical novels authored by Uday Joshi — Adiparva, Sangharshaparva, Kalahaparva, and Hasparva — each narrating distinct chapters from the Bhonsale dynasty's storied past. Alongside these, two scholarly works by Bhalchandra Hardas — Mahalchi Bhramanti and Dharmabhushan Shrimant Raje Laxmanrao Maharaj Bhosale — will also be unveiled, offering insights into the architectural and spiritual heritage of Nagpur's royal lineage.The event's chief guest will be Acharya Jitendranath Swami Maharaj, Srinath Peethadheeshwar of Anjanigram-Surji, who will bless the occasion with his presence. The evening promises to be a confluence of literature, history, and devotion, highlighting the contribution of the Bhonsale rulers in shaping Nagpur's identity.Shrimant Raje Mudhoji Bhosale, founder-president of the Maharaja of Nagpur Trust, and publisher Chandrakant Lakhe have jointly appealed to citizens, history enthusiasts, and literature lovers to attend the event in large numbers.For security reasons, attendees are requested to arrive 20 minutes early. Parking arrangements have been made at DD Nagar School, ensuring a smooth and well-organised evening dedicated to honouring the legacy of the Bhonsales.
