Rs 6.9L stolen from ATM in Buldhana
Buldhana: Miscreants broke open a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM in Motala in Buldhana and decamped with cash 6.9 lakh in the early hours of Saturday.The accused used a spray on CCTV cameras to obscure surveillance at the ATM, located near the tehsil office under Borakhedi police limits on the Buldhana–Motala road. The burglars then used a gas cutter to break open the machine and fled with the cash.The incident came to light around 5am after an alert was generated by the system at approximately 4:17am. Officials from the bank and Borakhedi police station in-charge Sitaram Mehetre, along with API Balaji Shegempallu, PSI Rajendra Kaple and other personnel, reached the scene. Senior officers, including SP Nilesh Tambe, addl SP Amol Gaikwad, SDPO Sudhir Patil, and teams from the local crime branch, forensic unit, dog squad and fingerprint experts, conducted inspection at the spot. A case has been registered against unknown persons.
