Woman ‘facilitated’ rape, molestation of two teenaged daughters
Nagpur: In a horrific incident, a 17-year-old girl has accused her mother of facilitating her rape by their employer, owner of an education society, and molestation of her younger sister (15), between 2016 and May 2019. Following her complaint, the police registered a case of rape and molestation against Ashok Jaiswal and the survivor’s mother.Police said the survivor Shalu (name changed) used to work at the farm owned by Jaiswal, who also runs an education society at Kharbi, along with her mother, younger sister and elder brother for the last 13 years.Sometime in 2016, the survivor’s mother allegedly ‘agreed’ with Jaiswal to let him have a physical relationship with Shalu. One day the accused took the survivor to Hyderabad on the pretext of some work, where he allegedly exploited the survivor after drugging her.The accused also exploited the survivor in the city at his farm after a few days of the incident, and also threatened her with dire consequences. After the elder daughter, the accused also called Shalu’s younger sister to his office and tried to exploit her.Around one-and-a-half months ago, Shalu’s younger sister was allegedly abducted and raped by another person.
A case of rape was registered at Nandanvan police station. Recently, a NGO visited Shalu’s younger sister to counsel her, and the survivor narrated her ordeal to the activists.Shalu told the activists that Jaiswal exploited her with the help of her mother. The NGO workers approached Nandanvan police station along with Shalu and filed a complaint of rape and molestation under sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.Police have launched a search operation to nab Jaiswal, who is currently untraceable. Shalu’s mother too is learnt to be out of station.Senior PI Vinayak Chavan of Nandanvan police station said, “We registered the case as soon as the incident came to light. We will investigate the case from every angle as it is a sensitive matter.”
