City achievers feted by Vashi police on Raising Day

NAVI MUMBAI: City police felicitated achievers who have shone in their respective fields of expertise on its Raising Day. A simple yet elegant function was held at Vishnudas Bhave auditorium on Friday. A programme was organised for the guests and police families. Vashi police played the host of the event. Former test cricketer Abey Kuruvilla, Olympian rifle shooter and Arjuna awardee Suma Shirur, former India kabaddi team captain and Arjuna award recipient Ashok Shinde, former international footballers Bhaskar Maity, Abhishek Yadav, Bablu Biswas, swimmer Shubham Vanmali and his coach Gokul Kamath, rifle shooter Trisha Mukherjee, women cricketer Prakashika Naik, yoga guru and Padmashri recipient Sadashiv Nimbalkar were among those who were honoured.
