GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida police claim to have solved the double murder case of a school owner's brother and his friend with the arrest of key accused Teekam Chand and his son. The duo was murdered on September 4. So far Teekam's two other sons and the contract killer gang members are absconding. The police have recovered a country-made pistol used in the crime and the deceased's mobile phone.
"On Saturday evening, the police received a tip-off that Teekam would come to Noida to meet his lawyer. A team arrested Teekam and his son Bhupinder near the Film City," said SP (rural) RK Jolly. During investigation, the accused revealed that the deceased had been mounting pressure on him to repay the money he had borrowed. The accused then hatched a plan to eliminate him.
The deceased Rajesh Bhati, the brother of Sirsa-based Oxford Green public school and his friend Ram Kishore had gone missing on Sunday after they reportedly went to pick up the documents of a car. "Teekam hired a contract killer gang headed by Karambir and had given Rs 4 lakh and a Mahindra Scorpio car to commit the murder," said a police official.
