NOIDA: Music lovers in Noida paid their last tribute to Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh in a mall in sector 37 on Monday. A group of residents have also decided to host a Ghazal concert soon in the city. Those mourning the death of the maestro observed one minute silence, followed by people sharing their views on him. On October 14, a musical event will be organized in Noida where all Jagjit Singh lovers will be invited to pay a tribute to the legendary singer.

“Jagjit Singh, who has fans among all generations, revived the traditional genre of Ghazals. His death is a very sad news, but he has left a treasure of his creations behind,” said noted anchor and a resident of Noida, Karunesh Sharma. “He may have come across as a serious person, but when he was among his closest friends, he would be full of wit and humour,” said MC and social activist, Ashok Srivastav.
