Noida man harasses women, sets his pet dog on them; held
NOIDA: A man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly threatening two women and instigating his pet dog to attack them on Sunday morning.Complainant Manju, a resident of Basai village in Sector 70, told police that she was out buying milk with her neighbour Sumita near Pehalwan Market around 5am on Sunday when a man approached and began harassing them. She alleged that when they protested, the man set his pet dog loose to bite them, and the dog allegedly tore their clothes. The women managed to flee and eventually approached the cops the same day.

The women also alleged that the accused threatened them with a pistol, but cops said this claim was not substantiated and there was no gun involved in the incident. Additonally, the women had also alleged that the accused identified himself as ‘Azad', but cops said the accused was identified as a man named Sunny.When no arrests were made in the case initially, a large group of residents gathered at the Phase 3 police station, accusing the police of inaction and delaying the registration of an FIR. An FIR was subsequently registered on Tuesday and the accused was arrested. Further action is underway, police said.
