Man killed, FIR against mukhiya

patna: ramjivan verma was shot at and injured at chiraura village under the bhagwanganj police station of the patna district on monday evening. later, he succumbed to his injuries at the patna medical college hospital. mukhiya of chiraura panchayat ravinder singh has been named as an accused in the fir lodged in this connection. confirming the incident, sp (rural) amit kumar said mukhiya has also lodged a case in this regard.quoting the mukhiya’s version, he said the deceased made an attempt to kill the mukhiya and later, the mukhiya’s supporters caught ramjivan and beat him up. mukhiya, in his fir, claimed to have recovered a country made pistol from ramjivan, according to the sp. he added the mukhiya has also handed over the countrymade pistol to the police. earlier, the mukhiya had lodged a case against the victim on the charge of illegally cutting a tree. woman killed: 50-year-old phulwariya devi was killed at sidhipur village under the paliganj police station on monday night. ramji mochi has been made accused in a case lodged with the police in this connection. no arrest has been made in this connection. in another incident, asha devi was allegedly killed by her in-laws at dalisamanchak village under the barh police station of the patna district on monday night. the police have lodged a case against her husband kamleshwar yadav, her father-in-law, lalo yadav, mother-in-law jagdeshwari devi on the basis of statement made by victim’s mother girija devi. suicide committed: a uttar pradesh-based man, om prakash singh, committed “suicide� at his patna residence located in makhdumpur shivaji nagar under the digha police station on monday night. he was running a poultry farm in the same area. the deceased was a native of mathura district of uttar pradesh.
