Two sisters arrested for assaulting police personnel in Vaishali
Patna: Two sisters were arrested on Wednesday for creating chaos at Vaishali police station, assaulting police personnel and damaging property. One of the women, rescued from a hotel in a prostitution case, allegedly attacked a female police officer, tearing her uniform and pulling her hair. They also vandalised office equipment and clashed with locals. Police took them into custody, and they will face charges for obstructing government work and violence.According to the police, a woman resident of Brahmapura was rescued from a hotel on Tuesday in a prostitution case. On Wednesday morning, her sister arrived at the police station and, together with the rescued woman, began creating a disturbance. Both assaulted woman police sub-inspector Neetu Kumari and constable Amarjeet Kumar. During the attack, the officer was grabbed by her hair and thrown to the ground, while her uniform was torn. Neetu was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

The sisters caused havoc in the police station premises for hours, tearing important documents, damaging wireless sets, computers, and electrical wiring. Flower pots were broken, and the electricity system was disrupted.Vaishali SHO Rajkumar said, “Both women not only caused heavy damage to govt property but also created serious obstruction in govt work by attacking police personnel. Despite considerable persuasion by police personnel, both sisters did not calm down, after which police took them into custody.”He added that an FIR was registered against the sisters for obstructing govt work, assault and damaging property, and legal action is being taken against them.
