PUDUCHERRY: Independent MLA A Angalane, who represents Thirubhuvanai reserved constituency, rode pillion on a two-wheeler to attend the Puducherry assembly session on Thursday as his request to repair his official car, which broke down six months ago, is yet to be heeded.
He rode pillion for more than 20km to attend the session.
The MLA said he had been demanding that authorities concerned expedite servicing of his car or give him a new vehicle.
But his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Angalane, one of the six independent MLAs elected in the 2021 assembly polls, has extended support to the BJP.
The rider wore a helmet while the pillion rider didn’t.
