Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will conduct a festival of films; one that will screen flicks by the institute’s student directors, both past and present. So, if you’ve always had a liking for quality cinema, your weekend will be a promising one. One will get to watch films that have hardly been screened outside the FTII campus. Here’s the list of films that will be screened...
0 (Zero), Abhishek Varma, Day 1The film follows a young man who moves through the city, feeling disconnected with the spaces and places around him.
Then, a cupboard gets delivered to the house that the young man reaches by chance.
Songs we wrote, Sandhya Daisy Sundaram, Day 1Jeet, a young musician and sound recordist, is tired of the city and his fast-paced life. He sets out on a journey to re-
discover his music and himself. Along the way, he meets Kaya, an Italian traveller who can’t hear or speak.
Seek and Hide, Manoj Kumar Nitharwal, Day 1Seek and Hide is about the voyeuristic impulse turning on to the voyeur. It explores the journey of a teenager who oscillates between his sanitised and largely impersonal middle class existence and the unfamiliar, but far more exciting life in the neighbourhood slum.
Chaita Ki Ek Dupahari, Rakesh Shukla, Day 1On a hot afternoon in Central India, a retired soldier meets his lover after many years, receiving an affirmative, humane, and all-encompassing insight into life.

The films will be screened on June 2 and 3, at Inox (Bund Garden), 6 pm onwards.
