Sex racket busted in Vadgaonsheri, three held
PUNE: The Pune crime branch on Thursday busted a sex racket in Vadgaonsheri area with arrest to three including two women. The police have rescued three women who were forced into prostitution. The arrested suspect has been identified as Ananat Vighnesh Lambiyar (34) of Indiranagar in Bibvewadi. The social security cell of the crime branch led by inspector Sanjay Patil has made the arrests.

Patil said that the police constable Ganesh Jagtap has received a tip-off that two women from Bibvewadi were running a sex racket in a housing society at Vadgaon Sheri. “We sent a decoy customer to the society and after his confirmation we raided the flat,” Patil said.
Patil said that the police found three women, who were forced into the prostitution. “We have rescued them. Two on the three women were from the city, while one was from Kolkata,” Patil said. The investigations have revealed that two women, who were running the sex racket along with the suspect Lambiyar had brought these three women from some another agent. “We have launched manhunt for him,” said a senior officer from the crime branch. The investigating team comprised assistant inspectors Chadnrakant Jadhav, Shital Bhalekar, police constables Tushar Alhat, Kiran Pawar, Nitin Telange, Jayashree Jadhav, Damayanti Jagdale, Anuradha Thombare, Kavita Nalawade and Saraswati Kanage.
