Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the newly developed Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Super Speciality Hospital, Bilaspur, on Tuesday.
According to health department officials, this hospital, built at the cost of 200 crore, will start in three phases. In its first phase the facilities of OPD, ward and ICCU, dialysis unit will be started followed by starting of lab, cath lab in second phase and operation theatre, cardiac and lumbar machines will be started in the third phase. The hospital will be fully functional in the fourth phase. Chief minister Sai will also be present in the inauguration programme.
The launch of this hospital will also prove beneficial for the patients of nearby districts including of Surguja division. They may not depend on hospitals in Raipur now and would avail better treatment facilities nearby. A 100-bed Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) too will be launched in Raipur and on Tuesday
On Sunday, health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the construction of this institute will be completed in 24 months at a cost of Rs 90 crore.
