MOUNT ABU: Mount Abu police have done something different which will help change the image of a policeman. Generally, the image of a policeman is of a khakhi clad person who is potbellied and wields a lathi.
Sirohi police under the leadership of superintendent of police Vipul Chaturvedi has launched some eco-sensitive measures in one of the oldest mountain ranges in the country.

This will bring about a change in the image of the policeman. He too will be seen as eco-friendly.
Environmentalists have been for years advocating a ban on plastic. Mount Abu was even notified as an eco-sensitive zone in June 2009.
Despite this and a law by the Rajasthan government, the desired result could never be achieved. Now the police have taken up the task to implement the ban on the use of plastic.
When you climb up the Mount Abu, you will find notices erected by the Rajasthan police about the ban on the use of plastic. The Mount Abu police have become eco-friendly and would soon ensure that the whole range is free from pollution.
