 Fake marriage brokers booked for duping two of Rs1.20L
JUNAGADH: Two youths from Bilkha taluka in Junagadh district have lodged a police complaint against four persons, including three women, accusing them of cheating. The accused allegedly duped the duo of Rs 60,000 each with a false promise of arranging their marriages. According to police, in their joint complaint, Dinesh Sawaliya andNilesh Patel have alleged that Lila Gohel and Nilesh Jagani, marriage brokersfrom Navsari, had taken Rs 60,000 from each of them. They had also been promisedbrides; Sawaliya was to marry one Sonal Joshi and Patel was engaged to a womanidentified only as Sushila in the plaint. "After marriage, bothwomen allegedly deserted the complainants. When the victims approached Gohel andJagani, they did not return their money but promised to get them other women.Suspecting foul play, the youths lodged the complaint," said a police official.Source: Sandesh
