Ranchi: Alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on Saturday stopped a Hatia-Mumbai train on time to prevent a 13-year-old boy from coming under its wheels here at the Hatia railway station.
According to RPF, as soon as the train started from the platform at around 9:40 am, Mahesh Mandal and his family members who had come to see off their relatives tried to alight from the moving train.

Mahesh’s son Prem Kumar slipped and was caught in the gap between the platform and the train.
He was dragged for some distance while he was still holding on to the handle of the doors before the RPF personnel intervened to stop the train. sanjay sahay
