Chatra: Union power secretary Pankaj Agarwal and NTPC joint secretary (thermal) visited the 1980MW NTPC North Karanpura power project to assess the progress of the project and explore opportunities to enhance country’s energy infrastructure.
NTPC PRO in Tandwa, Mohini, said the two-day visit of Agarwal was focused on commissioning of units 2 and 3 within the deadline with priority on unit 2.
The developments that have taken place at the project so far now were also reviewed, she said, adding, “The officials later left for the Pakri Barwadih project in Hazaribag by road.”
During the visit, Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, director (projects) of NTPC and Shivam Srivastava, director (fuel) of NTPC briefed the visiting officials on the various aspects of the project.
