Man with hearing disability run over by train
Salem: A 21-year-old man with hearing disability was run over by a train while trying to cross the track at Korikkadu near Kandampatty on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as K Naveenkumar, 21, of Kandampatty. He was a daily wage labourer and was on his way to work at Shevapet.
“The train ran over Naveenkumar when he attempted to cross the track without noticing the train arriving on Vridhachalam-Salem railway track,” the Salem railway police said.

The train’s loco pilot alerted the Salem railway police, who rushed to the spot.
