Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Sukhu hits back at Anurag Thakur; Highlights Congress govt's achievements
CM Sukhu said that the problem of the BJP government at Centre is that they have cut the state's finances and yet schemes are being floated.
SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has hit back at Union Minister Anurag Thakur by saying the Congress government has fulfilled three guarantees in less than a year, but even after 9 years of forming the government at the Centre, the Modi government could not fulfil its guarantee of depositing Rs 15 lakh in everyone's bank accounts and providing employment to two crore people every year.

Two days ago, Anurag Thakur had attacked the Sukhu government by calling the guarantees of Congress fake and said that the women were asking for Rs 1,500 while farmers were waiting to buy their milk and cow dung.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu hit back during the inauguration and foundation stone laying of various schemes in Una on Saturday. Replying to allegations of Anurag Thakur, the chief minister said that the guarantees of Congress are not fake, but the guarantees of BJP are fake, on the basis of which BJP captured power in 2014 parliamentary elections and were not fulfilled even after 9 years. He said that Anurag Thakur should clarify the guarantees of his party. He said that the Himachal government has not completed even one year yet but even then, three guarantees have been fulfilled in this short period.
While interacting with media persons, he said that Anurag Thakur should tell where the Una-Hamirpur railway line has reached. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked about completing the Una-Talwara rail line in two years. Was it completed?, he asked. He said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had come, he had said that a rail line Una-Talwara was being built for 50 years and it would be completed in the coming 2 years.
"Till date it has not been completed," he said, adding that Anurag Thakur should answer whether the guarantees given by the Centre fulfilled and whether the Rs 15 lakh reached everyone's account. He said that there was talk of providing employment to 2 crore people every year but the Centre has not fulfilled any of its guarantees.
He said that the problem of the BJP government at Centre is that they have cut the state's finances and yet schemes are being floated. He said that the state's loan limit has also been reduced, but still no burden is being placed on the general public.
He also distributed Rs 4.10 crore among the disaster affected families of Una district. An assistance of Rs 76.08 lakh was provided for Amb sub-division, Rs 85.94 lakh for Gagret, Rs 48.14 lakh for Una sub-division, Rs 82.15 lakh for Haroli sub-division and Rs 1.17 crore for Bangana sub-division.
