THANE: Police have arrested a 23-year-old woman in Maharashtra's Thane district for allegedly operating a sex racket, and rescued two others. Officials from the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) raided a restaurant in Bhiwandi on Tuesday after receiving a tip-off, and detained the suspect.The official from Narpoli police station in Bhiwandi division reported that the rescue operation involved two women, aged 22 and 28. They were subsequently sent to a rescue home.A case has been registered against the arrested woman under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 143(1) and 143(3), as well as the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
