Thane, the city of lakes is all set to rock for the coming nine nights, as
Navratri festival has already begun. To add to the revelry and celebrations, some well-known celebrities are also coming to Thane.
Celebrities often come to Thane during the Dahi Handi celebrations, which are celebrated with great zeal and zest. But this year, as most of the programmes during dahi handi were called off, Thaneites missed the presence of the celebrities.
To make up to that event, several organisations have invited celebs from the Marathi industry.
Celebrities from different areas like Marathi Cinema, Marathi serials, Marathi dramas and even documentaries plan to come to the city this festive season. With presence of celebrities during the festival Thaneites will surely enjoy the rhythm of dandiya and Maha Bhondala.
Several public Navaratri Mandals have been set up in the city where the festival will be celebrated with full of joy and fervour. Around five prominent mandals like Tembhi Naka Navaratri Utsav Mandal, Tulaja Devi Mitra Mandal (Panchpakhadi), Shivai Nagar, Sanskruti Yuva Pratishthan (Samata Nagar) which celebrates dahi handi with full energy, will also be busy for the coming nine days and nights with cultural events like Dandiya, Bhondala, Kirtan, Bhajan, Gondhal, Jagar and many more. The joy is bound to turn double this year, as many celebrities from the Marathi industry, Directors, Writers, Musicians and other plan to come here.
Marathi Actors including Milind Gunaji, Aniket Vishwasrao, Vijay Chavhan, Sayyaji Shinde, Chetan Shinde, Angat Mhaskar, Shekhar Fadke, Santosh Juvekar, Sushant Shelar and Marathi Actress like Nilam Shirke, Aditi Sarangdhar, Smita Gondkar, Bhargawi Chirmule, Mrunmayi Deshpande, Samira Gujar, Sampada Joglekar along with famous cine director Mahesh Manjarekar, Viju Mane and other are invited in the city to observe city's festival.
