2 killed in separate road accidents

T’puram: Two men were killed in separate road accidents in the district on Wednesday night and Thursday respectively. Kaladharan (24) of Cherthala was killed after the bike on which he was travelling skidded off the road near Pothencode on Wednesday night around 10.30pm.
The police said that the accident occurred when he was riding pillion with two other friends from Vetturoad to Pothencode along the bypass road.The others who were travelling with him were identified as Ananthu and Nandu. While they were negotiating a curve at Poolanthura, Ananthu who was riding the vehicle, lost control causing the accident. Both Ananthu and Nandu were also injured in the accident.
In the second accident, a 55-year-old man was killed after he lost control of his bike and fell into a ditch near Kallayam . Vijayan, a daily wage labourer residing at Kallayam is the deceased. The police said that the accident occurred around 3.30pm on Thursday. tnn
