Infant burnt alive as blaze engulfs hut
Udaipur: A nine-month-old infant was burnt alive in a fire that broke out in hut a in Bhungra village of Banswara district Friday afternoon. Four children were present in the house at the time of the mishap. Three of them saved their lives by running away from the hut.
When the incident occurred, the mother Bhula Devi (27) had gone to a nearby river to wash clothes.

She had left her four children Prakash (7), Akash (5) Manish (3) and nine-month-old Kalpna in the hut.
Bhula Devi’s husband Dola Sarel (30) had gone out to attend a function.
In the meantime, the thatched hut caught fire due to reasons unknown, said police.
The fire could not be controlled. The hut was completely burnt to ashes. The infant could not be rescued, her remains were later recovered after the fire was doused, said police. tnn
