Vadodara: Despite being visually challenged Khushali Chauhan has managed to clear her Class X exam with 82%. Khushali, a student of Urmi School, Sama not only not only does all her regullar tasks independently but she also typed her own papers during the board exams.
“I rely on my other senses – touch and sound – to do everything on my own. It was Bharat Vaya, founder of Sankul Foundation, who gave me the idea of using a computer to appear in the board exam,” said Khushali.
“During the board exam, the invigilator read out the questions while I typed the answers using a computer, a provision which I was not aware about in the past,” said Khushali, who wants to become a music teacher and later perhaps a professor.
Daughter of Narendra Chauhan, who works as assistant general manager in Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and mother Jagruti Chauhan, a homemaker, Khushali’s twin brother Khushal will now appear in Class 10 exam.
