Locals said the accused and deceased had some issues. Police said the assailants killed Ravi because of a love affair. However, officials refused to divulge any details about it.
On Sunday afternoon when Ravi went to the location where he was called, the three accused injured him with swords. Later they pushed him in a pit dug around a manhole to lay drainage lines where he succumbed. Ravi’s body was sighted in the pit by his sister who informed family members. His body was then taken to SSG Hospital and police were informed.
During initial probe, cops learnt that Ravi was involved in a dispute with the accused on the basis of which Kaushik, who lived near Ravi’s house, was nabbed. Cops said the hunt for the other two accused is on and they too will be nabbed soon.
Even as one accused was held, no case in connection with the incident was registered at Warasia police station as Ravi’s family members refused to accept his body. They were demanding that the police find the assailants first then only they will take the body home.
