World No Tobacco Day 2013: Air Force rally against tobacco

VARANASI: The 7 UP Air Sqn NCC unit organised an 'Anti-Tobacco Rally' on eve of 'World No Tobacco Day' at Banaras Hindu University on Thursday. Prof. GS Yadav, registrar, BHU and Wg Cdr HS Pannu, Camp Commandant jointly flagged off the rally.
According to camp commandant, more than 400 cadets took part in the rally with an aim to spread awareness about ill effects of tobacco.The cadets pledged not to consume tobacco and requested people of Varanasi to avoid consumption of tobacco in any form, so that present and future generation can be saved from its ill effects. It will make our environment clean and healthy. Cadets were carrying posters and slogans prepared by them.
Summer camp: 7 UP Air Sqn NCC sub part of NCC Gp HQ Varanasi 'B' under Uttar Pradesh Directorate, Lucknow conducted a 10-day Summer Combined Annual Training camp at Vivekanand Hostel at BHU Varanasi from May 22 to 31. Cadets took part in various training activities organised in the camp. As part of community development and social service activity, 25 cadets and staff of this unit donated blood to IMA Varanasi on 29 May 2013.
