AP aims to establish international arbitration centre
Visakhapatnam: The establishment of an international arbitration centre in Andhra Pradesh is the goal of chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, said state minister Kondapalli Srinivas. The Asian Centre for International Arbitration and Mediation hosted the inauguration of its centre in Visakhapatnam, followed by the MSME Conference, bringing together leading policymakers, legal experts, and industry stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening India's MSME ecosystem.Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural event, Srinivas said that the programme follows discussions held in Sep 2025, organised by ACIAM in collaboration with the National Law University. The minister said the government is committed to strengthening the alternative dispute resolution system in the state and will provide full support to institutions like ACIAM.The event was graced by the guest of honour, justice N Kotiswar Singh, Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Prof. Surya Raju, secretary general of ACIAM and Managing Partner of Trinadha Law Firm, explained the importance of robust alternative dispute resolution systems in ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions for MSMEs.
