With his vast knowledge in law and experience from grassroot levels, he disposed thousands of cases on varied subjects like civil, commercial disputes, and arbitration suits,” said Chief Justice Thakur.
Justice Somayajulu also worked as president of Andhra Cricket Association, was a legal committee member of BCCI, and served as president of Visakhapatnam bar association, and Visajha Waltair Club. Taking his family legacy in the legal profession forward, he excelled as judge of the high court, he added.
Thanking the present and previous Chief Justices of the high court and his colleague judges, Justice Somayajulu said he was fortunate to get the support of everyone right from the combined high court to Andhra Pradesh high court. He said his career as lawyer and judge has been satisfactory. “I tried my level best to do justice to the litigants. A judge can give a good judgment only when the advocates present great arguments,” he said.
