TN worker slips from mutt terrace at Tirumala, dies

Tirupati: A 35-year-old man from Tamil Nadu died after an accidental fall from the terrace of a private mutt at Tirumala on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Manikandan, a resident of Vaniyambadi in Tirupattur district of Tamil Nadu. According to the Tirumala II Town police, Manikandan slipped and fell from the top floor of a private mutt, where he was engaged to repair a water tank. Fellow workers and the mutt staff immediately rushed Manikandan to the TTD’s Aswini hospital and subsequently shifted him to the SVRR govt general hospital in Tirupati, where doctors declared him as brought dead. Tirumala II Town police registered a case and are investigating.
