Swimming trials
Physical trials of Visakhapatnam district sub-junior boys and girls (10 & 11 years old) swimming squad for the state meet in Eluru, will be held at RR pool near Railways Stadium from 9.30 am on May 15. For new swimmers, trials will be held at the RR pool. Those with UID of Swimming Federation of India are only eligible. Swim coaches certificate course
Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and the Rashtriya Life Saving Society of AP will conduct training and certificate course for lifeguards, lifesavers and swimming coaches. Carrom league from today
The Deccan premier carrom league will begin at the Siva Sivani School, Marripalem here on Friday. A double-leg round-robin league would be followed by the top four teams qualifying for the knockout semifinals. The six franchises are vying for a prize money of Rs 4 lakh plus.
