Visakhapatnam: The low-pressure area over west central and adjoining Bay of Bengal is likely to move slowly nearly northwards and intensify into depression over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal, north Odisha, and Bangladesh coasts on Monday.
Thereafter, it is likely to move west north westwards across Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining north Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining north Chhattisgarh during subsequent three to four days.

Under its influence, heavy rainfall will continue over north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on Saturday and heavy to very heavy rain likely at isolated places in north coastal districts on Sunday and Monday (Sep 8 and 9). A few parts of the south and north coastal districts and Rayalaseema will experience thunderstorms accompanied with lightning from Sept 7 to 9 and strong surface winds with speed of 30-40 kmph likely at isolated places over the coastal and Rayalaseema districts during the period.
