Andhra Pradesh coasts, during the subsequent two days. Meanwhile, lower tropospheric westerly winds prevail over AP and Yanam.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), isolated parts of the north coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) and Yanam are likely to experience heavy rainfall activities on August 29 and heavy to very heavy rainfall activities on August 30 and 31.
The IMD also forecast that parts of the south coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) are likely to experience heavy rainfall activities on August 30 and 31.
Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning is likely at isolated places over NCAP, SCAP, Yanam and Rayalaseema regions from August 29 to 31. Strong surface winds with speed of 30 to 40 kmph are also likely at isolated places over coastal AP, Yanam and Rayalaseema regions between August 28 and 31.
