BMC Recruitment 2026: Registration begins for 145 posts, direct link to apply here

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released a fresh recruitment notification for 145 contractual posts at Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, Juhu. The recruitment includes support staff, wireman, electrician, lift operator and other technical and non-technical posts. The official advertisement was issued on January 23, 2026, and applications will be accepted in offline mode only.

Eligible candidates can submit their forms between January 27 and February 4, 2026. This recruitment is open mainly to SSC (Class 10) pass candidates, making it an important opportunity for those seeking government jobs in Mumbai. Selection will be done through trade tests and interviews, depending on the post.

The recruitment covers a wide range of support and technical roles. Key posts include Wireman, Wireman II, Electrician, Lift Operator, Lift Operator-cum-Wireman, Plumber, Carpenter, Training Assistant and Gardener.

Support staff posts include Ward Boy, Aya, Sweeper, Porter, Worker (Kamgar), Ambulance Attendant, Library Attendant, Barber, Tailor and Dialysis Technician.

Most posts require candidates to have passed SSC (Class 10). Technical posts such as wireman and electrician require ITI or trade certificates and relevant licences. All candidates must be able to read, write and speak Marathi.

Eligibility, age limit and salary details

The minimum age to apply is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 38 years as per BMC rules. Age relaxation will apply to reserved categories as per government norms.

The monthly salary ranges between Rs 15,000 and Rs 18,000, depending on the post. These appointments are contract-based and will remain valid until March 31, 2027.

For technical and support posts, candidates may have to appear for a departmental trade test, followed by an interview.

The application process is offline only. Candidates must first pay the application fee of Rs 934 (including GST) at the Cooper Hospital cashier department. After payment, candidates must fill the application form and submit it along with self-attested documents at the Establishment Section of Cooper Hospital, Juhu.
