Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states and the numbers are moving fast. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats mark the majority in a 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115 seats, with 10 declared and 105 leads still active, leaving them just 3 short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60 and NDA stands at 55, both trailing at this stage. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house if those leads hold, carrying a tally of 179 with 11 seats won and 168 leads. TMC trails with a tally of 106, having won 2 and leading in 104. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA holds a tally of 18 in the 30-seat assembly where 16 is the majority, with 13 seats already won and 5 leads active, placing them on course to cross the majority mark if those leads hold. SPA has a tally of 5 in Puducherry. In Kerala, UDF leads in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 71 in the 140-seat house if those leads hold, with 68 seats won and 19 leads giving them a tally of 87. LDF trails with a tally of 36, having won 30 and leading in 6. Candidates from other parties or independent candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 17 seats in Kerala.
