Bangaon Dakshin Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP's Swapan Majumder wins by 37,814-vote margin
Asish Kumar Sarkar (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Rituparna Addhya (Trinamool Congress), Kisor Kumar Biswas (Congress), Santosh Kumar Sikdar (Bahujan Samaj Party), Swapan Majumder (Bharatiya Janata Party), Rabindra Nath Barai (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Kalyani Mondal (Independent), Pabitra Roy (Independent), Biplab Tikadar (Independent), Shefali Bain (Independent), and Swapan Majumder (Independent) — 11 candidates contesting from Bangaon Dakshin in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Bangaon Dakshin is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency under the Bangaon Lok Sabha segment. In 2021, Swapan Majumder of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat. The 2016 winner was Surajit Kumar Biswas of the TMC. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Bangaon Dakshin in 2026.
