Jangipur Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP’s Chitta Mukherjee wins by 10,542 vote margin
Aloke Kumar Das (Communist Party of India (Marxist)), Chitta Mukherjee (Bharatiya Janata Party), Jakir Hossain (Trinamool Congress), Mohammad Imran Ali (Congress), Prabir Halder (Bhartiya Lokmat Rashtrawadi Party), Bapi Sk (Bharatiya Nyay-Adhikar Raksha Party), Md Hasanuzzaman (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Mirza Nashir Uddin (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), and Soma Saha Das (Independent) — 9 candidates contesting from Jangipur in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Jangipur is a General constituency under the Jangipur Lok Sabha segment. In 2021, Jakir Hossain of the Trinamool Congress won by a margin of 92,480 votes. Jakir Hossain had also won in 2016. The 2021 turnout was 77.78%. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Jangipur in 2026.
