It all started when a few years ago Priyanka Chopra posted a picture of herself on Instagram before landing in Mumbai. Back in 2014, Anushka Sharma faced the wrath of online trolls for her “fuller lips” on Karan Johar’s chat show. Anushka’s appearance was trolled on Twitter with many speculating that she underwent a lip job. After the Twitter, Anushka even released this statement, “For a short while now I have been using a temporary lip enhancing tool and that along with make-up techniques (I have learnt over the years) is the reason why there might be a change in the appearance of my lips. I have by no means gone ‘under the knife’ or done any kind of ‘plastic surgery’ or undergone any intrusive procedure.”

Paayel was also trolled for her appearance of late where she looked different than what she looked before. People have tried to body shame her commenting on Paayel’s ‘fuller lips’. However, the actress has always insisted that she hasn’t done any kind of ‘plastic surgery’ or had to undergone any intrusive procedure to change her look.

It happened when the trailer of Vaani’s film 'Befikre' was released, and everybody was talking about how drastically different Vaani Kapoor's face looked. Social media was abuzz about how Vaani got a chin surgery and a lip job to enhance overall facial features. The actress refuted the rumours by saying that the changes in her face were due to the fact that she had lost weight and blamed the freezing temperatures of their shooting location – Paris. She also stated that a human face looks different from different angles. She also added that she can't afford surgery, as she was only one-film old then.

Ayesha Takia received her share of trolling on social media for her altered look in which she appeared to have fuller lips and cheeks. The ‘Wanted’ actress later made a statement on the matter. According to her, some ‘vicious’ people and gossip columns had distorted the pictures. Ayesha also reacted on the controversy with a picture on Instagram, where she shared a motivational quote from famous American burlesque dancer and model Dita Von Teese. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world and there’s still going to be someone in the world who hates peaches,” it read.
