From accusing his parents of trying to "control the narratives" around his life to accusing them of trying to 'ruin' his relationship with his wife, to revealing details about the drama that unfolded at his grand wedding and more, Brooklyn spilled the tea on social media. However, all those tuning in to the family drama with the British hunk, were seemingly left with a feeling of deja vous, as the scatting post comes on the heels of another heated family fallout involving Britain's royal family. Many took to their handles to label him “Prince Harry 2.0.”The comparison began trending shortly after fans began drawing parallels between Brooklyn and Harry's very public spat with their high-profile families. Calling out the 26-year-old for 'copying' Harry's 'playbook', netizens took to social media to share their thoughts on the situation and turn the shocking moment into an internet meme. Brooklyn also found supporters who praised him for “speaking his truth” and standing by his wife's side, even if it meant shutting the door on his own family. However, today's statement marked the first time that he directly addressed the rumours in such detail. "I had been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private," Beckham wrote."Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."He said his mom "cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour" and "attempted to bribe" him into signing away the rights to his name before he got married.He ended his statement by saying, "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation," he concluded. "All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."Neither David nor Victoria Beckham has responded publicly to Brooklyn’s remarks so far.
